Business Support Supervisor

Location: Budapest, Hungary
Primary Role
Work closely with the Account Manager to oversee business related activities while ensuring client satisfaction. Work closely with account team as an extension of our clients’ trade compliance organization to ensure the work is done per our clients’ established policies and procedures.
Functional Requirements and Specific Responsibilities
  • Responsible for working with the Acct Mgr. to ensure the account team is delivering to the agreed upon service level and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Work to perform the daily work per the defined client processes.
  • Must organize, prioritize, and manage the team’s daily work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
  • Responsible for managing the individuals assigned to their team.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting any account concerns and issues.
  • Must communicate professionally, clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Must adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines and managing workload.
  • Must be qualified to perform all day-to-day account activities.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, firing, and mentoring of account team members as defined and assigned by the Acct Mgr.
  • Assist the Acct Manager with on-boarding and training of team members.
  • Responsible for auditing team’s work and ensure proper quality controls are in place and followed.
  • Assist Acct Mgr. in the creation of reports required by client or Vigilant.
  • Assists the Acct Mgr. in communicating and upholding all client and Vigilant policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Acct Manager or VP of Global Trade Services.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, International Business or related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a corporate business environment.
  • Attention to detail skills required.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written, effectively with clients, coworkers and senior leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams of staff from Vigilant, partners, and clients.
  • A strong customer relationship skill with a desire to do whatever it takes to ensure the client is satisfied.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution.
